Sometimes a rambling photographer is confronted by situations where huge colorful areas form a big chance to capture an image with a lightly alienating meaning. In Ireland people often use strong colors in painting houses and walls. Small Talk

Some secretive talk after a presentation by Maartje Roos,  the dark haired female photographer in the picture. She’s making photographs like fairy tales herself, maybe that’s what inspired me. Amsterdam 16/01/19 10.50 pm.

March 5.

There were just a few rays of sunlight in our bedroom this morming to make self portrait 340. Diemen, 8.19 am.

February 19.

When I saw this I had to think of a weeping lady. Diemen, 2.43 pm.

February 12.

The night sometimes seems to keep many, many secrets. Diemen, 8.39 pm.

February 6.

Just for a few moments there was a wonderful light in the kitchen. Only for a few weeks in winter (last week of January and the first week of February) and for two weeks in November this special light is present right here. If the sun shines. Diemen, 9.16 am.

February 2.

My long tall shadow forms some kind of a lone wolf image on the station square of Amsterdam. 3.30 pm.

January 30.

There was the temptation of the bright light. Grab your camera, old man & catch your shadow! Diemen, 9.53 am.

Just after breakfast, Sunlight had a very pleasant suprise. Diemen 09.54 am.

That's what I want in photography, just to be touched by what I see. When I wanted to eat this egg this morning, its vulnerability just struck me, I couldn't restist the urge to grab a camera. Diemen, 9.37 am.

That why I always use post processing: to emphasize and intensify the awareness of Time, Light & Space.  I was cycling around along the Dutch countryside and was struck by the intensity and the strength of Light and Color.

Het land langs # 23 (Along the Country Side # 23)

It was the last real summer’s day of 2013. At least in Holland. The wind was from the South East. I went for a bike ride along the dike between Lelystad and Enkhuizen. It is a dike through The Ijsselmeer, a huge inner lake in the northern part of Holland. The dike is about 30 kilometers long. Just sitting on the bike I felt very small in the enormous blue space.

Time & Space turned into just one dimension.
