Some culinary adventures in Ireland

One night during our wonderful bicycle trip to Ireland Petra and I were sitting outside the bed and breakfast in Castletown Berehaven. It was a beautiful spot with a great view over a bay of the Atlantic. We were the only guests. The owner came to us to show the mackerels he caught that very evening. Great fishes! And very tasteful at breakfast the next morning!

The other photos show the full Irish Breakfast I used to take as an energy boost before the cycling trip every day. And the result after 7 minutes.

Ireland on my mind

Exiting times! Tomorrow Petra & I will be flying to Ireland, a country we did not visit for 22 years. Really wonder if I am caught in the same way by the magic if the country as I was before. Beautiful scenery, very special people. I used to be in love with the country. Made a series of photo’s which I exhibited a lot. All analogue, 35mm, and a lot of working afterwards in the darkroom.

It is a strange phenomena in shopping areas. Shopping windows often show signs and letters instead of beautiful articles. And sometimes visitors of restaurants are eating in the shopping window.
