Belgium has many
specialties. One is race cycling. So do not be surprised if you descend a train
and on the station square a race is going on. With a speed of about 60-65 kmph
(37-40 mph) the riders are storming by,
very close to the edge of the pavement. Some people watch the race with great
enthusiasm and lots of beer, others are quite indifferent. Luckily it was a
local round, so I had the chance to capture the speed from different angles and
places. Who won? I found out later that night at the internet it was a Dutchman!
Geraardsbergen (BE) between 3.19 and 4.33 pm.
