some more Self-Portraits?

Well, it’s quite a long time since I published something on this blog. After a very fine summer with some beautiful trips and some very inspiring workshops I gave at the Dutch foundation Buitenkunst (means something like Outside Art) (www.buitenkunst.nl ) it is time to leave something on the web. A few days ago my colleague Marco Bakker asked me, what do you call them, selfies or self-portraits. Self-portraits I promptly said, but now I am not so sure anymore.

They’re a kind of moments from a film of my life, a kind of still photographs. So I call them SELF STILLS!

224-Made at Buitenkunst Randmeer, the location where every year I am giving workshops during some weekends and some weeks. This is the place where I started the project of the self portraits. So every time I’m there I want to make a new one. Here I wanted to something with how to look. Because IMO photography always starts with looking. 2013/05/20 0.56 am. Dronten (NL)

My exhibition Zelf! (Self!) goes into its last week! So, if you have attended grab the chance to see my head bigger than Life! Opening hours of the show: Tuesday 23d till Saturday 27^th 12.00 am – 6.00 pm.

Meanwhile I continue to make new self portraits. I want to experiment a little with post processing, how can I ad something essential by using Photoshop, without disturbing the original setting and mood.

Zelfportret # 41

Ze zeggen dat de rechterhelft van de menselijke hersenhelft de linkerkant van het lijf aanstuurt. Die rechterhelft staat bijvoorbeeld voor creativiteit, intuïtie, taal en meer van dat soort zaken. De linkerhelft in de hersenpan stuurt de rechterkant van ons lichaam aan. Die linkerzijde staat dan voor ordening, rationaliteit ect.
Mogen jullie raden wat op deze foto de linkerzijde van mijn gezicht is, en wat de rechterkant.
