Greetings from Diemen NL #6

(Often when I go out into my hometown Diemen, the somewhat sleepy suburb of Big City Amsterdam, I take my camera with me. I try to capture accidental beauty and sometimes unplanned alienation of the banal aspects of the everyday scenery. I started to do this from 2004, the year we came to live here,  at first in black and white, from 2006 in color.)

Diemen is the Amsterdam suburb where our family lives for quite a few years now. In Diemen one can find the only one level railway crossing in the Amsterdam region. Source of irritation with about twenty trains every hour. But sometimes in the long afternoon light of December a railway crossing is just beautiful.
