Soap Bubbles

 How great it is, just wandering through city streets. And then there are big soap bubbles to be seen. And a kid who is just missing the catch. Soap bubbles are uncatchable. Berlin, September 2021. -Sitting Duck in Diemen-

(Often when I go out into my hometown Diemen, the somewhat sleepy suburb of Big City Amsterdam, I take my camera with me. I try to capture accidental beauty and sometimes unplanned alienation of the banal aspects of the everyday scenery. I started to do this from 2004, the year we came to live here, at first in black and white, from 2006 in color.)

Vanwege Fragmentarische Aard (67)

New York ligt op de geografische hoogte van Barcelona. Dat betekent dat in mei de zon rond het middaguur hoog aan de hemel staat. Gevolg: grote, massieve schaduwvlekken onder de bladerdekken van de bomen in Central Park op zondagmorgen.
